People were afraid of death during the whole of centuries. But this fear makes them do completely different actions.

Once people believe in the life hereafter, and they Endeavour to deserve the posthumous requital by their actions.

Another doesn’t believe in the soul immortality, but they want to stay in people memory for ever.

Third group lives in daily troubles as if death does not exist at all.

But there is the fourth group who try’s to escape from the death.

They number their selves with unsubmissive, they challenge inevitability, they desperately looking for any loop-hole.

My familiar is one of them. Actually, he doesn't leave in the laboratory for days and nights, he doesn't melt the lead into the gold like a medieval alchemist.

He keeps vigilant watch over latest achievements of science in the life extension area. Also he makes careful ancient philosophical treatises about the receipt of the immortality.

Sometimes he gladly invites us to acquaint ourselves with a new method escape death which he decides to follow now.

That is a very recklessly play, the play for the time, the racing with the death.

I don't know, will he get a success in his escaption or not, because to know it I have to live for ever!

The world of Ancient Egypt is attractive for me because of its mysterious & colouring, but before all – because of the unity of beauty & wisdom. There is no any unplanned element in Egyptian ornaments, so you can’t find any random hieroglyph or silhouette in their bas-relieves. Each detail is reproducing its own idea and manifesting the world order & harmony, like the Ancient Egyptians mind.

In my picture “The Boat of the Eternity Life” I tried to express the spirit of this antique civilization, witch had could create the greatest monuments in the world history. These artifacts were created by human arms and because of a human will, but these destinations are to remind people about our insignificance.

That’s history of the greatest world culture that aroused from the sand and which is becoming to the sand again.

About Death in Modern Art.

Life is multifaceted, and death is one of its manifestations. To deny any of the manifestations of life is pointless, and sometimes it can be blasphemous.

If the Almighty created life, then He also created death. The same deity in different religions often personifies both death and resurrection. For example, Osiris in Ancient Egypt was considered the personification of dying and resurrecting nature; people turned their prayers to him in the hope of eternal life, and he was also a judge in the kingdom of the dead. Buddhism does not at all separate one from the other, viewing this world as an endless circle of birth-and-death, from which one can only escape by gaining enlightenment.

Where there is a cult of life, there is also a cult of death; the culture of burial goes hand in hand with the idea of the immortality of the soul.

Whether death is a summing up, a departure into oblivion, or is it just a step on the path of a person’s spiritual development - everyone decides for himself.

The experience of death is purely personal, even more intimate than the experience of love, because the object of application is unknowable. It is no coincidence that love and death are two eternal themes that have worried humanity since the beginning of time, two pillars on which art is based.

Art is not a reflection of reality, but a mirror, and a magical mirror, capable of highlighting some facets of reality and blurring others.

This mirror can make you cry and laugh, freeze with delight or tremble with horror.

A person is always ready to experience a lot of emotions, he is greedy for this and that is why he sometimes comes to look in a magic mirror.

It inspires and suppresses, entices and entertains, and can sometimes even kill if its power is too strong.

It’s much more interesting when it makes you think, and a person goes on to live life a little differently, taking away in his soul a particle of something new, not noticed before.

One way or another, even when the reflection amazes you with its depth and authenticity, a mirror is just a mirror.
