January 25 in the Library named Nazim Hikmet hosted the memorial evening of the Turkish writer Nazim Hikmet, who lived in Moscow for many years. Here, in the area of Sokol, he ended his life path.

The evening was attended by the Ambassador of Turkey, Director of the Yunus Emre Institute in Moscow Professor Omer Ozkan, and other officials.

At the evening, Turkish national music of the 14-19th centuries was performed by Russian artists, students of the Moscow school of young diplomats demonstrated knowledge of the Turkish language and culture. Moscow artists designed the library hall with their works dedicated to Turkey and told about their creation. The evening ended with tasting dishes of Turkish national cuisine and free communication.

The exhibition "Turkey through the eyes of Moscow artists" will last until February 3 at the Nazim Hikmet Library at: Moscow, ul. Novopeschanaya st. 23 building 7 (m. Sokol, Oktyabrskoe Pole; MCC Zorge, Panfilovskaya)
